"Two" by Jim Cartwright starring Neil Caple and Pauline Daniels

Phil Key The Liverpool Daily Post

"It's a wonderful play and is given a special performance with great lighting and sound, the venue is new for theatre-goers but well worth seeking out"

Joe Riley The Liverpool Echo

"Daniels and Caple prove a remarkable double act of invention and intervention, nowhere do they falter in physical presentation. There is something cosy and unpretentious about the Actors Studio, where the seats come courtesy of the stripped out Floral Pavillion in New Brighton." 7/10

"When I am 60" by Eileen Pollock

Catherine Jones The Liverpool Echo

"Pollock is a random raconteur, hopping from topic to topic, it's rather like talking to your mum or a slightly eccentric relative" 6/10

"John Gorman Live"

Spencer Leigh BBC Radio Merseyside

"A very accomplished and entertaining evening from a master storyteller"

"Madonna and Me"

Philip Key The Liverpool Daily Post

"A totally Merseyside production, from the director to the excellent cast, very much a Liverpool show and in the intimate surroundings of the Actors Studio in Seel Street, Madonna and Me comes across as fresh and rather loveable"

Chris High BBC

" A play at Liverpool's smallest theatre that rivals in it's writing which is currently playing at Liverpool's largest. Whiston and Merseyside should be proud of it's playwriting sons, Willy Russell and Tommy Kearney and should nurture the latters burgeoning talent for all it's worth."

"Shirley Valentine"

Peter Grant The Liverpool Echo

"Pauline's comic timing is spot on throughout, here is pathos and humour in equal measure. This show is a sparkling, thought-provoking and hugely enjoyable theatrical journey of self-discovery" "Isn't that right wall?" 10/10

"SIMPLY SHAKESPEARE"

A brilliant show, Johnny Kennedy, a class act.

Too soon the recital ended, but in true professional style, Johnny left the audience wanting more.

We did not notice the rain as it raineth on Seel Street as we made  our way home, hoping we don’t have long to wait for a repeat performance.

THE PROMISE

Chris High "What's On Stage"

There are a lot of nice touches that have freshened a time honoured story strong charactisations, a lot of catchy tunes, an enjoyable night out.

Catherine Jones "Liverpool Echo"

There are some good strong singers, some beautiful Mama's and Papa's-style harmonies, in the hands of theatrical powerhouse Pauline Daniels, David Cope grows in confidence and stature as the show progresses with a strong vocal performance.
